GLIMPSE

 Sir Ken & The King

This terrific cartoon by Shawn Rose captures the impetus to inspire change at the recent State of Creativity Forum in Oklahoma City last November.

The State of Creativity was opened by Sir Ken Robinson – TED star on creativity and education thought leader featured in the RSAnimate series.  KILN’s Chief Solver Gregg Fraley closed the conference. Both Sir Ken and Gregg keyed in on Elvis as a icon of creativity. For a suprising read, see this 2008 post from Gregg on Elvis, Eros and Einstein. What’s the state of creativity where you are?

As seen in downtown Tokyo…

Gregg was in Tokyo in late November to train a multinational’s Japan team in Osborn-Parnes Creative Problem Solving. With the input of a simultaneous translator,  a team of 20 learned the basic tenets of CPS and applied them to a new case story about safe drinking water.Out and about in Tokyo, Gregg spotted these folks deeply focused on their smartphones.
